وَٱلتِّينِ وَٱلزَّيْتُونِ ~ I swear by the Fig and the Olive
Figs & Olives are mentioned together in Quran, Allah Said :
وَٱلتِّينِ وَٱلزَّيْتُونِ ١ ~ I swear by the Fig and the Olive,
Taking them together is not mentioned in Hadith, but based on our experience, pairing these two have many health benefits, & we prefer to have them combined on an empty stomach. Soak 30 grams of dried figs in half cup of water overnight, so that they soften & become easier to digest. Figs should be washed properly before soaking. In your breakfast, eat them, followed by a cup of tea without sugar, (you can take any hot infusion of your own choice like fennel seeds tea, green tea, etc.), in which you have to put 2 tablespoons of olive oil, {olive oil has to be taken with a hot drink}. 30 grams of figs & 2 tablespoons of olive oil is a full meal, having more than 300 calories.
This combination should be allowed to work alone, hence, do not take any other food till Zuhr prayer.
Even Diabetic patients can try this combination, so that they can analyze the effect on their blood sugar. With this breakfast, Diabetics can take their medicines.
